The copyright page states "First Printing: May 1980" with a number line ending in 2, which is not an indicator of a 2nd printing but rather an indicator of a Random House First printing when coupled with the "First Printing" statement. With moire silk endpapers, gold gilt titling and page edges, and bound-in silk bookmark. The book is in as new condition, included in original card stock shipping cover, which has been opened. 341 pp. including an extensive index. Includes the publisher's original Certificate of Authenticity and order form.

An outstanding copy signed by the President, scarce with a signature only, not inscribed, and in this condition. Housed in a near fine dust jacket that is clean and bright with some mild rubbing to the spine ends and edges and one small closed tear to the top edge of the back panel. In archival protection.
