Dust jacket chipped and toned along edges with heavier loss to bottom edge of front panel near front fold. Light shelfwear and fading to edges of boards. Binding sound and interior unmarked. A worn but still Very Good copy of the first volume of what would become Adams' five (or six?) volume "increasingly inaccurately named Hitchhiker's trilogy."

The book is in Very Good minus a bit shape. Condition specifics:Ding to the top edge of back coverJacket beginning to brown, likely from living in an attic library. The discoloration doesn't detract from the iconic Hitchhiker's cover.Pages 35-215 browned along fore-edge. The first 34 pages do not have this.Both book and dustjacket show minor signs of shelf wear.
