This is a signed, first US printing copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It was signed on October 15th 2007 at the Kodak Theatre, Los Angeles, California as part of J.K. Rowling's brief visits to the East and West coasts of America to promote the release of her final book in the series. This was her first visit to the US for a signing tour since 1999. Both first and second printing copies of the US edition of Deathly Hallows were signed during this tour, making authentically signed first printing copies rather scarce. At this event Rowling's signed books also had a holographic sticker added for further authenticity, which you can see stuck to the top of the title page above the signature. This particular copy was signed for a young student named Shelley who attended the event with her high school. The book and dust jacket are in pristine condition with no fading at all, the pages are clean with no inscriptions or marks of any kind. The book is unread, the boards are square with sharp corners with no foxing to the text block. A beautiful example of a book and dust jacket in perfect condition. It comes housed in an orange clamshell box with red inner trays to match the colours of the dust jacket. This box was made purposely for this book, with the title and author's name printed in gold leaf to the spine. The signature comes fully authenticated by Adam Houston 'theHarryPotterspecialist' the world's leading expert in authenticating Jo's signature. It comes with a full authentication package including a letter of authenticity and collector card.
