Unstated first edition, first printing with a full number line starting at "1". 9-1/2" tall, 589 numbered pages; lightly flecked tan boards with black cloth quarter binding, gilt lettering on spine; front board is plain; lightly flecked tan end pages; fore edge is trimmed. The book is square, very clean, both lower corners lightly bumped, tiny ding on bottom edge of front board, head and heel of spine lightly creased with no tears or fraying; lettering on spine is undamaged and very readable; hinges are vey tight and not damaged in any fashion. The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type. Paper is lightly toned and is very flexible. No distortion of the book from reading or improper shelving; pages are tight and clean with no marks. Jacket is clean; no tears, folds or chips; no bumps on edges; very slight crease at head of spine; very slight fading of the spine; raised letters of author's name and title on front panel evident (they have not been crushed); publisher's original price of "$25.00" listed on the upper right corner of front flap. Condition of book and jacket consistent with or being very gently read. No other discernible or objectionable faults on book or jacket such as marks or writing within, stains, tears, chips, or other damage that would diminish its appearance.
