Unpaginated, approximately 46 pages of story. The Fourth Printing of the 1986 FIRST EDITION, this copy was SIGNED by him (in his usual place), with a personalized inscription. Hardcover book has green paper over quarter beige linen-covered boards, blindstamped with "Dr. Seuss" to front cover & lettered in shiny green to spine. Condition is VG+: completely clean save for very faint, tiny spot to bottom edge of text block. Upper edges of both boards show faint rubbing & a thin strip of fading. Else, completely clean & unmarked, but heavy offsetting to front (& less so to rear) endpapers where a collection of death notices & editorial tributes & cartoons from the local San Diego papers (Sept 25/26, 1991) celebrating this local hero has been laid in, along with 3 glossy 5" x 8" glossy photos of Geisel from the San Diego Museum of Art (2 of same image). The unclipped DJ is Near Fine, with mild toning & faint rubbing/soil; nicely protected in clear mylar cover by original owner.
