A well loved and well read copy of the 46th impression of the first paperback edition. The original children's cover. The spine has loosened a little from the foot and also a little at the head. The pages are clean throughout, if a little well handled at the edges, which are also sun toned. Curling at the fore edge/corners of the card covers and early pages. Child's owner inscription at the top edge of the inside front cover. These early impressions are becoming ever scarcer in any condition.

Extremely difficult to find early print Pages have no tears of scribbles, but are heavily age-tanned, corners curled, and a sticker at the top of the first page.
