A UK 1st Edition, 27th printing hardback copy indicated on the copyright page by a 30 29 28 27 number line. - This copy contains a text block that has been printed upside down when compared with the boards! A rather interesting example. - Other than the text block issue, both the book and its dust jacket are in fine condition. The jacket has not been price clipped. - A lovely, if somewhat interesting copy.

A third impression of the true first edition, with the number string: 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 at the bottom of the printer's page. Only "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" and "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" listed as 'also available'. ***A near fine copy in pictorial colour illustrated boards. The boards are clean and unmarked. Head and tail of spine and corner tips slightly creased. Very slight reading lean to the binding but the spine is tight. The colours of the book are beautifully bright, with no fading, even to the spine. Internally, the book is also near fine, with no inscriptions or annotations. No foxing. Pages clean. The paper stock is lightly tanned as usual. There are some slight nicks at the top edge of the pages 33-40 (please see scans). ***In a near fine colour illustrated dustwrapper, which retains the original publisher's printed price of £10.99 on the front flap. The dustwrapper is complete, with just light creasing to the extremities, mainly at the head and tail of the spine. No serious creases, chips or tears. Unusually, the colours to the spine of the dustwrapper are completely unfaded (please see scans). ***317 pages. 206mm x 136mm. ***'Harry Potter was a highly unusual boy in many ways. For one thing, he hated the summer holidays more than any other time of year. For another, he really wanted to do his homework, but was forced to do it in secret, in the dead of night. And he also happened to be a wizard.' (Quote taken from the first paragraph of the book) ***A third impression of the true first edition of "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban", in unusually near fine condition, in the original dustwrapper. Being such a popular children's book, copies of the early printings in reasonable condition (albeit with the above mentioned faults) are far from easy to find now. ***For all our books, postage is charged at cost, allowing for packaging: any shipping rates indicated on ABE are an average only: we will reduce the P & P charge where appropriate - please contact us for postal rates for heavier books and sets etc.

Convicted of killing thirteen people with a single curse, he was said to be the heir apparent to the Dark Lord, Voldemort. Now he has escaped, leaving only two clues as to where he might be headed: Harry Potter's defeat of You-Know-Who was Black's downfall as well. And the Azkaban guards heard Black muttering in his sleep, "He's at Hogwarts... he's at Hogwarts."Harry Potter isn't safe, not even within the walls of his magical school, surrounded by his friends. Because on top of it all, there may be a traitor in their midst."//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////Joanne Rowling CH OBE FRSL (born 31 July 1965), best known by her pen name J.
