Tipped-in plates by Edmund Dulac, 11.5 x 8.5, cloth with gold/black paper cover label, 174 pp, covers very worn and darkened, extremities bumped and badly fraying, hinges loose, front inner hinges cracking (more so in front), pp toned and thumbed, all plates are in beautiful condition, though.
Contains the following stories-"Snegorotchka"; "The Buried Moon"; "White Caroline and Black Caroline"; "The Seven Conquerors of the Queen of the Mississippi"; "The Serpent Prince"; "The Hind of the Wood"; "Ivan and the Chestnut Horse"; "The Queen of the Many-Coloured Bed-Chamber"; "The Blue Bird"; "Bashtchelik (Or, Real Steel)"; "The Friar and the Boy"; "The Green Serpent"; "Urashima Taro"; "The Fire Bird"; and, "The Story of the Bird Feng". No date of pulbication indicated, but likely early 1900's. Yellow cloth-covered boards. Light staining on coverboards. Some cloth missing, some fraying and a 2-inch split in cloth at head of spine. Full colour, tipped-in frontis and 15 other colour, tipped-in illustrations. Small tear at top of second front endpaper. Some math calculations in pen on rear endpaper. Binding is a bit loose but is not in danger. Size: Sm 4to (9" to 11"). 174 pp.
