This important work documents the lives of the Jewish community in Europe during the 1920's and 30's. The work provides a post war memorial of these communities, now lost to history due to the genocide caused by the war.University library copy, with the expected labels. Re-bound in full cloth. Externally very smart with bumping and slight rubbing to the head and tail of the spine, library location to the tail of the spine, and closed tears to the cloth to the head joints with front joint starting slightly. Bound back to front. Bookplate from 'Carmel College Library to the front free endpaper with remnants of labels to the rear and a small paper folder adhered to the rear pastedown. Internally firmly bound with lightly age toned pages with spotting to the front, closed tears to the odd page including a significant closed tear to the index and a library label to the edition page.
