Parks wrote this novel based on his experience as a black man growing up in 20th century United States. The Learning Tree tells the extraordinary journey of a family as they struggle to understand the world around them and leave their mark a world that is better for their having been in it. This novel was later adapted into a successful film. Ex lib. Library stamp (Fashion Institute of Technology) Taped white label at base of dust jacket. Overall very good condition.
