Facsimile reprint, thick tall quarto, pp xx, 796, (i), slightly age-toned, some top corners very slightly bruised, otherwise clean internally, the front hinge has cracked at some time and been re-glued, green cloth, vey slightly worn, the spine lettering extremely faint. [A heavy book, extra postage may be necessary.

1868. Third Edition. 251 pages. No dust jacket. Green cloth. Slight cracking to hinges, with exposed netting, pages slightly loose. Pages have light tanning and foxing throughout. Markings and creasing to some pages. Pencil mark to final page. Water staining to rear free endpaper and pastedown. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Light tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Staining overall.

Reproduction. Black and white illustrations inside. Book is clean and tight without inside markings. The cultivation of Orchidaceous plants is no longer exclusively the privilege of the few, now that their nature and requirements are better understood than was the case in former years.
