First edition. Faint crease to the edges of a couple of pages, still fine in fine, price-clipped dustwrapper with a tiny nick at the corner of the crown. Signed by the author. Laid in is an approximately 5" x 7" black and white photo of James Cagney, Signed by the actor in light green ink. Cagney starred in the 1953 Raoul Walsh film, about a clever and ruthless Southern politician, based in part on Huey Long (Langley's book preceded Warren's *All the King's Men*, but the latter was filmed first). Cagney's whole family was involved in this film: one brother was the producer, another was the story editor, and his sister had an important supporting role (indeed her character shoots Cagney's character). A very scarce wartime book, seldom found in this condition. Seller Inventory # 56366
