Octavo, 628 pp., extraordinarily sharp illustrations - commissioned for this edition - by Alan Reingold. Full rich green leather, gilt decorated and imprinted, spine panels rib divided, All Edges Gilt, deep green moire endpapers, with matching satin page-marker ribbon. Franklin's as-always lavish binding, in a limited signed edition of Wouk's 1955 novel 'Marjorie Morningstar', about an aspiring film actress from the Bronx. Paper is 50-pound Franklin Library Smooth White Sheet, '1854' Cream, typeface is 11-point Garamond, gilt is 22 karat. The Franklin Library, doing what they did best. As New; pristine and flawless. As bright, tight and immaculate as it was on its first day in 1981. With the author's 'A Special Message to Subscribers from Herman Wouk', written in 1981 for this limited edition, and, of course, the separate 'Notes from the Editors', a very desirable example.
