NY and Philadelphia: Lippincott / Brentano's / Viking / Crowell, 1946. Hardcover. Very Good/good. In addition to the books listed, there are 4 Christmas cards, probably from the 1940s, from the Tinkers, each with an illustration by Tinker, and a sketch of what looks like a goblin, done in pencil and signed by Tinker, 6.5 x 5.25 inches. 'The Small and Tall Man' is good with some restoration to spine; 'The Rose and the Ring' has light soil to covers, very good; 'Barefoot and the Friendly Road' is a very good copy in used and shelfworn jacket; 'Legend of Sleepy Hollow' is very good in lightly shelfworn and soiled slipcase. Tinker began his career as a prolific illustrator but his work as creative director at a NY advertising agency began to take more of his time. He was born in Pittsburgh in 1906, and these came from a house in Pittsburgh where the owner's parents were friends with the Tinkers.
