About This Item
Tight, square spine. Clean, unmarked interior. Gilt to spine and front board remains bright. Moderate edge-wear, but no other notable wear to the book. Mylar-protected jacket is price-clipped and has some chipping and edge-wear. 'From now on,' wrote noted typographer Kuwayama in 1987, 'more marks incorporating the spirit of play, a novel and enjoyable development, will probably appear.' This first volume of Trademarks & Symbols, with its extensive catalog of innovative alphabet-based marks, played a sizable role in that trajectory: the breadth and depth of its creative approach to the letterform continues to influence designers and symbology devotees alike. 193 pp. Featured Rare & Collectible.
