Full red leather bindings with five raised bands at spine. Gold titling to spine, remaining compartments between bands decorated with gold embossed illustrations of a horse and rider jumping a gate, horseshoe, polo hat and mallet, hunting horn and fox head. Two gold line borders surround front and rear boards, gold lines on board edges, creasing along hinge of front and rear boards that has lost a small amount of the leather's surface color; gold line borders to pastedowns with horseshoes embossed on foredge corners. Interiors clean and crisp within and with original cloth covers bound in at rear. Illustrated with 10 color plates with tissue guards and 3 woodcuts.
