The image measures 12 x 17 cm on a sheet measuring 16.5 x 26 cm. Signed with initials bottom right. Inscribed by the artist in pencil beneath the mount with the illustration title, book title and [incorrect] page number. The illustration appears on page 152 of the 1931 first Shepard illustrated edition of "The Wind in the Willows" in the chapter "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn".
