All four are scarce in any edition, and especially scarce in First Edition. The book and its contents are in clean, bright condition. There is some very beginning toning to the edges of the book covers. The front endpaper has been neatly excised by the previous owner - with a barely visible stub. The text pages are clean and bright. The dust jacket has several small edge nicks and tears along with several small to smallish edge chips missing. The dust jacket includes the correct points for a first edition according to Baumgarten (Green cloth binding, Harper & Brothers imprint, dated 1956, with a dust jacket that includes a $2.50 price on the front flap). There is some beginning toning / foxing to the dust jacket, mostly to the front flap.
