He met the young Dalai Lama who he later accompanied to India where he returned to Europe. Recognised as a 'great travel book' at the time. Covers are solid with interesting photographic cover art. There is gentle creasing to the tips and a little rub to top of spine and a little dustiness to back cover but overall good. Spine is solid and complete with a little creasing. Fore-edge of text block also age-toned. Original price of 2/6 to front bottom tip of front cover. Overall, a solid copy of this fascinating travel book. Not exlib and packed and sent with care.
