ROSARIO CASTELLANOS (Ciudad de México, 1925-Tel Aviv, 1974) es una de las voces fundamentales de la literatura en español y del pensamiento crítico del siglo XX. Destacan en su poesía el desgarro, el impudor, la amargura, la soledad y la aceptación de la derrota, de las múltiples y pequeñas derrotas de cada día y de las grandes y definitivas derrotas del alma. Pero también la ironía, el humor negrísimo, la osadía, el descaro, la burla y la capacidad de reírse abiertamente de todo y de todos, empezando por ella misma, están presentes en sus poemas. Donde algunos han querido ver un patetismo afectado, y con mala intención muy femenino, lo que hay en realidad es un sarcasmo y una agudeza que sólo podían venir de una inteligencia como la suya. -
