Mitsumasa Anno's classic, wordless picture book follows a single figure as he journey's in Italy, from a rural landscape, to small towns, on to Renaissance era Florence. Filled with cultural references and humor in the intricate watercolor and pen and ink illustrations. Beautiful, full page illustrations on every page. The book is un-paginated, approximately 46 pages. 9" X 10-1/8". The dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped, jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Tiny closed tears at the heel of the spine, about 1/8" long, a small amount of fading to the spine panel, and small circular dot of fading to the spine panel - about 1/4" across. Jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. The sturdy, illustrated cover boards are flat, the corners are not bumped or creased, no edge wear. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. Pages are clean and the edges of the text block are clean. Binding is tight and square. This is not a library discard.
