This is the "true" first edition with the correct number line, the John Berendt "blurb" on the front cover and the "man-woman" misprint. Former owner's signature on the top of the half-title pg., otherwise a fine copy in a fine dustjacket. Published in a small 1st printing, the novel has since gone through a zillion printings. Also included is the UNCORRECTED ADVANCE PROOF WITH UNCORRECTED MANUSCRIPT PRINTED ON THE FRONT COVER. This is a fine copy of a scarce proof. Sold as a collection only.
