Some page tanning and corner and spine-end pushing, minor marks to boards, light signs of usage and wear with a little fading to spine, tight and unmarked, secure binding. 320 pages. Full colour, tipped-in frontis and 15 other colour, tipped-in illustrations. Small tear at top of second front endpaper. Some math calculations in pen on rear endpaper. Binding is a bit loose but is not in danger. Size: Sm 4to (9" to 11"). 174 pp.

Lightly rubbed, board corners warped, owner inscription dated 1918 to verso of ffep, shaken, gutters cracked, rear gutter badly cracked and last page and frep detached but extant and chipped to edges, some foxing throughout, the odd fingerprint or smudge, and a couple of tears to page edges, but text clean, illustrations good.

Cloth rubbed to edges with fraying to spine ends, light age-soil, spine a little dulled. Spine square. Binding cracked to mull at pages 88 and 105, but intact, and else sound. Small chip from top fore-edge corner of FFEP. Pages foxed; illustration plates bright. Text else free of markings.
