This offering as a vintage copy of a classic and popular older series . . . the "Maida" series written by Inez Haynes Irwin. Maida's Little School was written by Inez Haynes Irwin. This copy was published by Grosset & Dunlap Publishers in the1940's or 1950's and appears to be a First Edition - for Grosset & Dunlap Publishing. It is NOT an ex-library copy and both the book and the dust jacket are in good condition . . . particularly given their age. The dust jacket DOES have a few "foxing dots" on it around the edges - there's a pencil written inscription on the flip side of the half-title page - and has the name of a previous young girl owner's book stamp with address neatly stamped on the title page. The book is 5 1/4" by 7 5/8" and has 245 pages with a black-and-white frontispiece and a Table of Contents. "These lively stories of the adventures of Maida Westabrook and her friends contain all the elements which delight youthful readers - action - mystery - humor - and excitement," Thanks for looking!
