Spine missing. Paper covering on rear board mostly missing. Binding loose.; 24 pages + frontis + 5 plates. Papered boards with lithograph illustration. Dimensions: 8 1/4" by 6 1/4". This is an unusual binding as a layer of material similar to cotton wool has been included between the boards and the illustrated paper which covers them, giving the covers a slightly padded feel. The binding is in poor condition on this copy, with most of the paper from the rear board missing and this padding material hence visible. The illustration on the papered front board is a lithograph printed in two colours, grey and black. The frontis and plates are half-tone prints based on etchings. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall
