Large, thicker, sturdy book, dark red cloth, a color-illustration set in top front of Van Loon's Atlantic Ocean with whale and sail ship very fine showing Gulf Stream also, dulled embossed lettering on spine, 525 lightly browned pages, full-page color and non-color illustrations throughout. Damaged at spine between pages 524-525, a little less so between inside front cover and first front end paper, the bottom of title page attachment to spine loose. Bottom tips very slightly bumped. Fair.
