This highly rewarded and long-listed 2019 Penguin Press novel, is not only a 1st Edition and 1st Printing, but is signed, inscribed along with a cartoon sailboat and dated 6.6.19 on the title page by the author. The hardback condition is Near Fine, with square corner, and no markings. It has been affected by water that had reached the lower front end paper, the upper and lower back end paper, with a trace lightening of some of the boards. Despite this relatively minor drawback, it is still a gorgeous edition at a great price for the book collector. In an April 2022 New Yorker profile, Ocean Vuong announced he had recently finished writing the screenplay for the film.
First edition, hardcover, signed by Vuong on the title page, the book has a slight skew to the binding, bumps to the spine ends, some shelf wear to the cover edges and corners, and a strong ding to the head of the front causing a touch of creasing to the first few pages. Overall, this is a solid, tight and clean, Very Good copy in an unclipped, Very Good+ dust jacket, which has bumps with minor creasing to the spine ends and corners, and light rubbing to the covers. The jacket is wrapped in Mylar.
