A tight bright copy signed by L'Engle on title page with gift inscription. An inch of water damage to back endpapers at bottom. Affects the bottom edge of inner papers faintly from back until page 191. Inch and a half of discoloration at bottom inside of dustjacket spine and vertically at bottom right edge of back cover in an area half inch wide. Jacket is unclipped, has the round gold Newbery Award sticker at top right that has begun to peel.
