Like all books in the "Scribner Signature" edition, this has a printed version of the author's signature on the title page, but it is ALSO signed by the author in blue ink, with a warm inscription to a named individual, on the dedication page. Crisp, bright pages with no owners' marks; some fading to the red portion of the spine and light shelfwear around heel edges, otherwise excellent.; Signed by Author

A Very Good copy with light foxing of text block, tanning to endpapers and minor fading to top boards in a Very Good dust jacket with some edgewear, bumped corners and spotting to inside covers. Inscribed by the author on the free front end paper: "To Gail Gilliand, Best Wishes, James McPherson."
